Introduction
I think every Christian will agree that
successfully rearing children today has grown exponentially more
difficult because of the conditions in our public schools.
Those of us who came of age in the current system know not only how
many temptations we faced but how much our peers influenced us
either positively or negatively. And most will have to
acknowledge the negative influence was more pronounced than we would
like to admit.
Beside the negative peer influence
there is the atheist, evolutionist, humanist, philosophy which is the
only religion allowed in school today. Contrast that with the
Christian's desire to teach their children about the God of the
Bible, His creation and the worship of His Son. The family
that sends their children to the public school system truly has
their work cut out for them.
Home Schooling is not the solution to
all of life's educational problems but it certainly is the solution
to many. The family that home schools will find not only their
education to be a radical departure from the norm but their overall
home life will be quantifiably different from the family that
doesn't. If you desire to have a family that is focused on
spiritual life more than worldly life you should consider home
schooling as one means to achieve that end. This is not meant
to look down on those Christians who choose to send their children
to the public school system. Nor does it mean you cannot have
a spiritual home life but without a doubt achieving that kind of
home life is more difficult without home schooling.
